Pour It On! Recognition

At PRP, we endeavor to consistently recognize positive performance and achievements with our Pour It On Recognition Program.  We believe in finding our team members and managers doing things right – and then recognizing them for their contributions to our overall success.

Time For Some Recognition!

“Perfection is not attainable.  But if we chase perfection - we can catch excellence!”

– Vince Lombardi

Recognition is a part of the everyday business at Peak Restaurant Partners. It comes from all levels of the organization. Below are some team members who were recognized for their awesome accomplishments and attitudes:

From our General Manager in Ogden, Utah

"I have some exciting recognition to hand out this morning.  It was a busy day, and we are moving are team members into different positions and seeing how they do, and giving them more experience in different spots.  Today Daisy Garcia was put to the test expoing, and I must say it was hard not to step in when the tickets piled up.  Daisy took initiative and complete control of her pass bar area.  She was in command and did an outstanding job so I just wanted to take a moment and share with everyone how proud we were as a team of the work Daisy put in today."

From our Area Director in California

"I want to recognize IHOP 696 4th Street Santa Rosa for achieving the Triple Crown and Platinum Awards.

Mary Anders (GM) and John Fonseca (Mgr) and the Team at IHOP 696 seem to always be battling for “who’s the best” in the town of Santa Rosa.  Both restaurants IHOP 690 and 696, received the Triple Crown and the Platinum Award for 2014 which is given by IHOP Corp.

There is some great competition coming from the North Bay in Northern California.  Last Year Petaluma IHOP 689 won this prestigious award for 2013.   All 3 of these restaurants are neighbors and are within 15 miles of each other.  There must be something in the water!!"

From our General Manager in American Fork, Utah

"Good morning everyone, I would like to recognize from left to right, Yenni Martinez, Odalis Cornejo, Adrian Zamarripa, Felipe Vargas, Daniel Arrelano, and Mauricio Martinez.  As some of you may know, we have been going through some changes in our kitchen.  We have had some bad days, and we have had some good days, but in the end, all of these team members have proven that there is nothing that can break them!

Thank You for all of your hard work!"

From our Field Operations Support Manager

"Today, while spending some time with Judy at 1744 in Holladay, Utah, I had the opportunity to recognize one of our star employees at Peak Restaurant Partners.

As we all have experienced in the past, Holladay got very busy at lunch today. The cook needed some assistance and Maria Beiza, the awesome dishwasher pictured below, stepped right onto the line and started to cook eggs and help the cook catch up. She did this all while wearing the “ten-foot smile” you see in the photo below.

This is a perfect example of the culture of cross training and team member development that Judy has created for success in her restaurant. Way to go Maria and Judy! We all appreciate your smiling faces and great team spirit. "

From our GM in West Valley City, Utah

"Today I would like to recognize a key member of our BOH Team. Gabriela Contreras (below with Betty C. and Jesus V.) has only been with us a short time yet has become one of our strongest BOH leaders.vShe is a team player who takes pride in guest service and the Brand. We are certainly lucky to have her. Thank You Gabriela For All You Do!!!!"

From our Area Director in Northern Utah

"Today I want to take time to recognize one of our great servers. During my last several visits to Midvale I have been impressed with the outgoing personality and friendly service being provided by Brandy Egan. Brandy who is pictured below has only been with us since October, but you wouldn’t know it by watching her do her job! Even though she hasn’t been with us too long Brandy already has regular guests that are returning to Midvale to request Brandy as their server. I overheard one of her guests this morning say “I was so happy when I looked through the window to see that you were working. It was like Christmas morning.”  What a cool thing for a guest to say!

Thank you Brandy for being such a great representative of all of us! We are a better company because you are on our team!!"

 From our Human Resource Director

Leadership is defined as a process of social influence, that maximizes the efforts of others, toward the achievement of a goal; a leader is the individual who inspires the process. Leaders actively pursue ways to develop themselves, so that they can assist in the development of others. Strong leaders seek feedback as part of their own development and they willingly modify their behavior to strengthen the impact they have on those around them. They are able to adapt to rapid change comfortably and react to day-to-day challenges confidently. Quality leaders understand the agendas and perspectives of others and they instinctively know which battles to fight. They demonstrate sound business ethics without undue influence from personal biases and they are able to uphold that bias-free approach to situations and people. Perhaps the most significant attribute to a true leader is their ability to show resilience in the face of adversity.

Claudia, I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge the impact that your leadership has had on me, as we worked closely in recent months. You have confirmed for me that setting expectations and holding people accountable isn’t always favorable and that’s okay! Your firm, but fair approach is always consistent and something I appreciate in a leader. More than anything, your ability to face adversity with integrity and resilience is a remarkable example to not only myself, but to everyone around you. It is with great appreciation that I say, “You’re the Bomb!” Thank you for your dedication and perseverance.

“Once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, or how you managed to survive; you won’t even be sure whether the storm is really over. One thing is certain, when you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” Haruki Murakami
